Inspiration

We found that many popular math practice sites while useful, have many features that can be overwhelming. We wanted to create a site that focuses on very simple math and is also intuitive and easy to use.

What it does

The site offers an infinite amount of randomly generated math problems. These problems include up to 2 digit by 2 digit addition, subtraction, and multiplication. The site tells the user if they answered correctly or not, as well as a score for the session (number of correct/total number of questions).

How we built it

We built this using on replit.com using html, css, and js.

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges that we ran into, especially considering we were all completely knew to web development. We had the most trouble with the styling of the site and overlapping of various divs, as well as positioning the different html elements on the screen in the way that we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are especially proud of the look of the site as well as the random generation feature that the site has. The styling was time consuming and difficult but it turned out in a way that we were all pleased with. The random generation also allows us to provide an unlimited learning session.

What we learned

We learned how to use html, css, and js to create a functioning and interactive site.

What's next for Simple Math

We would like to provide a wide variety of subjects and topics available for practice while still maintaining the simplistic and minimalistic feel of the site.
