Inspiration
This project was inspired by the desire to learn more about circuit building. Since a security system is always going to be needed in our daily lives, we created a simple yet easy user interface for users to use in their homes, car, or safes. Thus, this project was created to ensure the customers a worry-free security system for everyday use.
What it does
When you start up the project, you will come across a screen that will welcome the user and a keypad to enter the password with. If verified, the green led light will light up else the red leg light lights up.
How we built it
We built it using a breadboard, jumper wires, an LCD, two led lights, a 4x4 keypad, two 220 resistors, a 10k potentiometer, a wire to hook up to the computer for power, and an Uno Arduino.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with coding the keypad and integrating various security measures such as voice command, and motion sensor. However, we end up integrating the important components of a security system.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to create a working security system with a 4x4 keypad.
What we learned
We learned how to construct a security system with Arduino parts.
