Inspiration
- Self-organizing. Simple and easy interactions lead to an overall stable, organized and efficient system.
- Simplicity of traditional fuel stations.
- Recharging an electric car can be uncomfortable.
- Poorly placed cars get used less often => less profit
- Chess: well placed chess-pieces give better chances of winning.
- gamification.

What it does
Charging becomes optional but heavily rewarding. Our application aims to provide customers options of HOW to use the service:
- saving time
- saving money
- saving the environment AND money
We calculate heatmaps and find the best offers for the customers such that the car distribution and charging statuses are optimized for efficiency and profit.
- provide more comfortable service experience for customers who want to save time
- reward customers who improve distribution and charging statuses
A bad coverage of cars:
- cars don't get used
- service becomes uncomfortable to use
A good coverage of cars:
How we built it
- crafty brains
- excellent communication
- caffeinated hands
Our Headquarters were in room 01.07.014. Shout out to the organizers of hackaTUM! We used the open source softwares Inkscape/Krita to make expressive and coherent use-cases. We studied the Sixt app and looked for what's missing and what customers need.
A big "Thank You!" to Sixt for helping us with any questions and difficulties we faced along the way!
Challenges we ran into
- Our team had a diverse skillset and differing ideas.
- we challenged ourselfes! We didn't wanted to create some small thing but actually discover the best solution we could find. This meant creating and scrapping ideas over and over again.
- technical difficulties related to devpost
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- great teamwork despite a diverse set of opinions and skills
- We have confidence in our idea. We'd love to see it in action in the future
- We went out of our way to go and discuss any questions we had with the SIXT team.
- Balancing simplicity and scalability for the solution
What we learned
- dedication & strong teamwork
What's next for Sixt
We chose our solution to be easy to implement. On the other hand it is designed to be scalable and increasing in value as the business model grows. It can be combined with other forms of electric mobility in the future to make seamless traveling possible and to provide the customer the best experience possible.
An excellent coverage leads to better experience for customers, higher profits for Sixt and a more sustainable future.
