Sizzle Digital Kitchen

Inspiration

I was inspired by two of my friends, who are culinary students. They live and breathe cooking, constantly exploring new ideas and cooking dishes at home. I felt a deep respect for the intense sensory experience cooking can be and wanted to explore what that would look like in a digitized format.

What it does

We give users the joy of cooking in a digital platform, allowing home cooks to learn recipes in an immersive way and also build their own recipes through hands-on experimentation.

How we built it

I designed and prototyped the app with Figma.

Challenges we ran into

I completed this project on my own, and refining the scope and completing the intense animation-like prototyping of an immersive digital cooking user flow was difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am so proud to have completed this project in time. This was a big undertaking and I am happy with my efforts.

What we learned

I learned that spending more time refining an idea will pay dividends throughout the project.

What's next for Sizzle Digital Kitchen

I'd love to work on hand-drawn illustrations and more robust animations! This would be a really cool app to build with developers and digital artists.
