Splitty aims to make the receipt process splitting more efficient through utilizing the Google Cloud Vision API. A problem we've encountered as college students specifically is dividing up large receipts after a big shopping run, especially at Costco.
Instead of manually keeping track of what your friends or roommates want to split over texts and social media chats, Splitty takes the hassle out of this process by automating it through cloud computing services. Submit a picture of your receipt and our program will process an itemized list of products and prices, from which you and your friends can select the items you desire to split. Splitty then does the tedious math behind the scenes and finally sends a convenient SMS to each friend with how much they owe.
