Smapper is Cheer up Kuamoto and getting smile again project using Pepper and Bluemix

Inspiration

We set up team for cheer up victim of Kumamoto earthquake disaster. There are many earthquake disasters in Japan e.g. Kuamoto, Fukushima, ... etc. And disaster area brake people normal life style. For recover from disaster, they need emotional care and Pepper detect human and has emotional sensors. So we challenge to cheer up Kumamoto and support getting smile again.

What it does

We hacked emotional sensor system called "Smapper". The system use Pepper and MESH sensors. setup mesh sensors and pepper in disaster area. Then get real-time environmental data by mesh sensors and human emotional data by Pepper. These data upload to bluemix immediately and sotore database. Support organization (Volunteer, Doctor ... etc) can check emotional level analytic by disaster area, then they go to support on-site care based on low emotion level areas.

How we built it

We build choregraphe application on Pepper about dance and dialogue. About backend side, we use node-red, dashdb and clooudantdb on bluemix platform. And MESH sensor makes by Creative DIY toolkit.

Challenges we ran into

We challenged to connect between pepper and bluemix node-red. Also challange mesh sensors.
