The inspiration behind Smart-Events stems from our commitment to developing innovative solutions for efficient user data tracking based on the second problem statement.
What it does
Smart-Events is a comprehensive platform designed to streamline event management processes. It offers features for both administrators and participants, including event creation, attendance tracking, survey management, and data analysis.
How we built it
Smart-Events was developed using Angular (created by Google) for the frontend and Django for the backend, integrated with a temporary SQLite database. The collaboration of these technologies facilitated efficient development practices, ensuring clear and structured component-based architecture.
Challenges we ran into
Scheduling conflicts posed significant challenges to our collaborative efforts, hindering the implementation of certain functionalities. Additionally, we encountered difficulties with frontend validation methods and other functionalities, contributing to setbacks in the development process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite the challenges we faced, we're proud to have developed a functional prototype of Smart-Events, showcasing our ability to overcome obstacles and deliver a solution that addresses the needs of event organizers and participants.
What we learned
Through the development of Smart-Events, we gained valuable insights into the complexities of coordinating team efforts and implementing robust front-end validation methods. Also we learned about new frameworks like Angular and Django that we could use for the first time.
What's next for Smart-Events
Moving forward, we plan to refine the platform by enhancing the front-end design, implementing real-time database analysis, expanding AI capabilities, and incorporating demographic information for more comprehensive data analysis. Additionally, we aim to address scheduling conflicts to foster better collaboration and maximize the platform's potential.
