Smart Receptionist

Inspiration

Nowadays the receptions at e.g. clinics, banks, hotels and other companies have to deal with a lot of organisational tasks and time pressure. For this reason, we want to support the person with this job, so he has more time to more important things. We created a roboter, that does the registration process and guides the client to the area of respective responsibility.

What it does

Our smart receptionist welcomes the client and guides him/her to the responsible area. Additionally it is possible to register with this roboter

How we built it

1. brainstorming
2. analyzation of the given resources, hardware, API
3. step by step programming of the functions and continuous testing
4. testing, testing and troubleshooting

Challenges we ran into

1. first-time android studio and kotlin coding
2. understanding of kotlin code and its functions
3. hardware problems
4. too much free drinks and food
5. Marvin crashed both of his laptops
6. the car changed our perfect code to a false code
