Inspiration
We were inspired by Khan Academy and other similar sites that have used education to help people connect with others from the beginning.
What it does
The site has "general topic" buttons - science, math, social studies, etc. Each button leads to a page with specific topic buttons (ex. "social studies" leads to a page with "geography", "economics", and "history" buttons). These specific buttons lead to pages that list facts and information about those topics.
How I built it
We built it with HTML/CSS. We wanted to use JavaScript, but we ran out of time. We used multiplayer Repl.it and GitHub to collaborate.
Challenges I ran into
We had a time crunch and needed more time to have an idea. I was also still learning JavaScript, so I spent too much time on that.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We made a working site with a purpose in a couple days. I think working under pressure can be an important skill to have, especially in the software development industry.
