Inspiration
Photos capture the best moments in life and some individuals don't have the training, tools, and knowledge to recreate the photo.
What it does
Smart photos is an intelligent image processing app that gives it's users feedback on their uploaded images and tells users how to recreate any image submitted. It gives users the capability to recreate angles, lighting and compositions of any reference photo.
How we built it
Our application was build using Node.js, AWS Rekognition, AWS Amplify, AWS Lambda, AWS Bedrock and Python for our fast API. For image processing, we utilized amazon's Rekognition to retrieve metadata and we input that into bedrock to format the data to our liking, returning information on how the photo was taken and the details that came with it.
Challenges we ran into
We can into challenges when it came to privacy and security during deployment. Initially we had trouble getting the API to run due to our AWS key. Once we resolved that issue, deploying our backend was rather troublesome and we could not access our backend from Amplify.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing our first hackathon and making a full stack program in a matter of 2-3 days.
What we learned
We learned how to utilize AWS services and AI to create what seems like a rather complex program, into something simple and valuable
