Inspiration

The travel industry is assuring tourists that airlines and hotels doing everything they can to keep them safe, but what's really missing is igniting again tourists passion for travel. This passion mostly fuelled by images of fantastic tourist destinations. This app leverages that appeal of photos on the web and on social media (instagram).

What it does

This app makes it easy for social media users who come across photos of interesting travel destination, to use that photo to get information about the destination, how to get there, and where to stay.

How I built it

Java / Spring backend, Javascript and bootstrap frontend, Google geo-coding, computer vision machine learning.

Challenges I ran into

The limited selection of flights we can offer travellers, due to reduced flight routes in 2020
