socialgas is a website (and companion mobile app) that allows users to submit their fuel economy data, either from interacting with the site directly, or automatically if they have an OBD II reader that works with the mobile application. It will provide tips for getting better fuel economy that are personalized based off of information gathered from OBD II. For example, if you are constantly accelerating rapidly, it can remind you to speed up gently, and also show you a personalized calculation of how much that would save, based on where you live, and how many miles you drive every year.
The social aspect should also foster friendly competition between friends for safe and efficient driving.
