Inspiration

We were looking for something that would challenge us and make us learn something new, but not over our heads.

What it does

Our website requests information like name and social media handles and generates a qr code that can be shared with friends and colleagues to connect them on all social media platforms.

How we built it

We started by splitting up our group by what we knew and what we felt like we could learn best because we didn't actually come here with the knowledge required to complete this hack.

Challenges we ran into

Using python as the back-end of a website is something none of us had done so we had to do research and using the flask package was new to all of us. Also, the biggest challenge ran into was actually coming up with an idea that was would push us to learn more, but not too hard for us to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we came together to learn how to use python in making a website, the flash package, and css, because we were not experienced with those things.

What we learned

We learned that diving into something that you are not entirely familiar with is not something to be afraid of, but instead a good challenge to take on to push yourself to learn more.

What's next for SocialSearch

We plan on using this hack as a base for us to add onto and learn much more.
