Inspiration
Projects are more likely to succeed when developers take the time to design schemas before starting the actual implementation. For this, they make use of various paid tools. Whiteboard's interface already has all the building blocks to allow the creation of detailed and professional schemas.
What it does
The 'Software Schema Design template' gives Whiteboard users the power to brainstorm and design high-level schemas before starting the programming aspect of a new project.
How I built it
- First I learned about software schemas(Object-oriented design, Database design, Microservices design).
- The easy-to-use interface of Whiteboard made it just a matter of plug and play.
Challenges I ran into
- Almost none. The interface was already intuitive. The docs helped me in learning to use some features ( like selecting multiple components at once - hold Shift and drag mouse)
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- This template will allow software teams to make beautiful and useful schemas, no matter how big the complexity of the project.
What I learned
- I learned more about Confluence, and its awesome marketplace.
- I learned about designing schemas, architectures
What's next for Software Schema Design
- Add more building blocks to allow for even more complex schemas.
- Add more example schemas to show users the benefit.
