Soko Mtaani is a a for profit that leverages mobile technology to consolidate demand for fresh farm produce by micro entrepreneurs operating food kiosks in low income settlements allowing them to purchase farm produce at affordable wholesale prices. It utilise a already very popular USSD mobile money transfer platform called M-pesa to accept payments from customers to vendors and the ark cryptocurrency to ensure security and cashless payment between vendors and SokoMtaani, the distributor.
