Inspiration

This project has started because we had a genuine interest in the Muse headband and exploring what we can do with it. Inspiration comes from this interest plus brain signals.

What it does

The headband reads the brain signals and represents the readings virtually in the form of a plant. The more of wellbeing you have the more it flourishes. The more focus, it grows. You can use Augmented Reality to see the flower you grew in a real pot (that we have 3D printed for Junction) using your camera.

How I built it

We used the Unity/C# game engine to represent the flower in a 3D form.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Development of the 3D scenario (plants + environment) Developing of the functional website Creating a demo for demonstration Creating the Augmented Reality Printing a pot in a 3D printer

What I learned

Basics of signal processing Combination of technologies (new generation gadgets & a game engine) Optimise features to create a demo Working in a short time schedule and scenario (working hard, multitasking, decision making)

What's next for SoulPlant

Develop more features: -Breeding plants together to create new breeds -Market for seeds (buy other seeds and create different plants) -DNA Currency (Specifically changing the genetic properties of the plant - color, number of leaves etc)
