Inspired by the classic game Space Invaders and typing games.
What it does
Guides you through a fun little game while teaching you how to use keyboard shortcuts.
How we built it
We built the game using Godot, and designed the characters and items with PixelStudio
Challenges we ran into
This was the first game dev experience for half the team which led to a frustrating start to the project. However, through collaboration and practice we were able to create a decent product in the end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating simple tooling to edit the level design easily. Basic framework for building different enemy types
What we learned
How to work with godot in a collaborative environment All-nighters are not as useful as they seem
What's next for Space Key
\t? Not a whole lot. This project we think has a lot of good ideas but those would be better served by starting a new project
