Inspiration

What would a smooth experience for collecting payments by bank transfer from different countries look like?

What it does

The project showcases how smooth it is to collect local payments via bank transfer using Rapyd virtual accounts. Payments can be for a number of things such as space tickets, luxury goods, sport cars etc.

How we built it

It's built with django and the project is divided into a few apps for future flexibility

• app: which user interacts with
• rapyd: for interacting with the virtual accounts
• spacyd: contains settings and URLConf
• store: for items to sell
• users: for user registration and login

Challenges we ran into

Had issue with api at first but got lucky by discovering rapyd's utility sample codes quite quickly.

What we learned

We learnt about the challenges with moving money across borders, accepting local payment, expanding to new countries because of payment or cultural difference.
