Spotify Matchmaker

Imagine a scenario in which you are traveling with some friends, and you all want to listen to music, but can't decide what to listen to. That could be because one of you likes Rap, while another one like Reggae. Enter Spotify Matchmaker, where the goal of our app will allow a group of friends to create a party and generate a playlist that pulls from everyone's top artists.

How to get started

First each user must visit our website, where a modal will pop up asking them to authenticate with Spotify. After everyone authenticates, the aux holder will create the party. To do this, they will see a pop up asking them if they have the aux, when they select yes, a party code will be generated. The remaining people in the party will enter the party code given to them by the aux holder. After the party is full (5 people max), the playlist will be generated on the aux holders account
