Spyverse

Inspiration

The inspiration for this was mainly just the hackathon theme. Spy, and being the best agent. What other way to be the best agent if not competing in missions?

What it does

This is a web app where people can sign up and become agents, and compete in spy-themed games/missions to earn points and be the best rank on the spy leaderboard.

How we built it

We built this using React, Node/Express along with Postgres as our database.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges when making the minigames, because the logic for some of them were a little complicated. In the end we decided to create a small number of possible combinations for the games and keep the amount of games we had to a minimum as to make sure we can fully complete one instead of having multiple unfinished games.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the look of the site, the end result looks nice and it has a lot of potential to be built upon.

What we learned

We learned some React fundamentals, along with actually making games in Javascript.

What's next for Spy

Spy's next goal is to be hidden from the world and never seen again
