What it does

It predicts the next station for an airline to set its feet upon using Big Data Analytics

How we built it

Extracting data from Open Flight dataset to obtain all the flight routes in the world. Calculating the number of airlines operating on a particular route. Tallying the airport IATA Codes with the Open Flight Airport database to obtain the above frequency data for domestic Indian flights and finally eliminating all inactive airlines.

Challenges we ran into

Data is scattered and is very difficult to obtain especially from social media. Finding a reliable data source was a tough task.

What's next for Station Predictor

Data sources for GDP, employment and other important social and geographical factors could be taken into account and for better results.
