STEMgurlz

We are all here because we are young women interested in tech. We have already established a community just in our time here at PixieHacks(). It would be great if we could extend the resources we have to girls everywhere who are interested in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math). We built a website that would allow girls to feel supported enough to go into STEM careers and close the gender gap in these areas. We also put up a running video of Code: Debugging the Gender Gap because we feel it is important to recognize this gender gap and support the girls who will use our website. We plan on expanding the resources available in our website in the future

I worked on the front end with HTML and CSS. I also designed the wireframe for the website and came up with the name :)

I worked on researching the content - links, descriptions, and images - for each of the STEM fields. I also helped with the design concept of the website (home page).

Karen Shi
I helped come up with ideas and ways to incorporate aspects that we wanted to include but we're not sure how too. I mainly helped with the front-end and design aspects of our hack. Also, I found a video that represents the statistics of Women in STEM fields, which we have used in our Program.

I worked on front end including successfully fixing the video on a certain point on the screen (the bottom right corner). I did this so while scrolling through our website and learning about all the opportunities the user can continue to watch the video similar to tumblr.
