Inspiration

With the stress of university, we wanted an easy way to have a good laugh. We believe that this app will be useful, especially in situations like exams, and school projects.

What it does

When you click the happy button, a funny sentence will be randomly generated which is sure to lift your mood!

How we built it

We used the Java Swing library to create the GUI, and used the IntelliJ IDE to develop the program.

Challenges we ran into

Creating the GUI with no experience was difficult, but it was a rewarding experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a functioning app that fulfills our original vision. We couldn’t stop smiling when we were making this app :) We hope this app can bring smiles to many users :))))

What we learned

We were able to gain more experience in building an app and solving any problems we ran into while building it.

What's next for Stop Sad!

We hope to improve the app so that it generates more grammatically correct sentences. We’d also like to add more functionality to it, such as being able to generate sentences for other moods.
