Inspired by the wall of buttons in the Transformers queue, we saw an opportunity to invite queuing guests to have agency within the world, instead of merely passively absorbing a looping video feed or staring at the same prop for minutes on end. The second inspiration was to break our guests out of their coccoons they wrap themselves in when they resort to poking at their smartphone. They shouldn't be playing with the toys they brought with them after paying loads of money for a vacation; the park should provide them toys to play with, instead!

However, we want to take this play one step farther than just personal, simple joy. We want the guest to contribute to a fun little mini-narrative, aided by their immediate neighbors and everyone else in the same "queue room."

Since you'll be spending a lot of time with strangers--even sharing a ride vehicle--a shared group accomplishment helps everyone become a little less "strange" to each other.

Why Jurassic Park? Universal property, Everyone loves dinosaurs, No deep knowledge of lore required to recognize characters, Mixture of technical & organic aesthetics, New movie(s?) coming out

Security Breach Example -Play around with idea of security failure by having guests help in what turns out to be a minor matter -Three stage narrative progression, three stations --Big security status lights indicate current state ---Flash when it’s time for group activity ---Changes from red to green to indicate progression --1. Need help locating and pointing camera at some “activity” in shrubbery near guest line (live footage and gags) --2. Discover lack of camera control due to “some punk” messing with exposed security station ---Panel has tons of gizmos, but only a few are functionally wired ---Panel shows desired changes and group presses/toggles /twists indicated gear ---Show photo on screen of random person from your room group who was blamed as “culprit” --3. “Something” actually broke through, but don’t worry--it’s just a little lizard ---Find and point out projection that scurries across wall and behind decorations --Light goes all green, fun lightshow, happy chime

Callback examples -That rustling you saw in line early in queue is what you need to seek out later on in Security Room -When ride track deviates, new audio indicates it was probably due to someone pressing that switch you were asked not to touch -Photograph of the “culprit” person from your general neighbor group as “Employee of the Month” at end of ride, timed with some sort of personal tracker
