Inspiration
The inspiration for this project came during the COVID-19 pandemic when much of our learning was online. Lectures were long and boring, so our product cuts down the precious time wasted with buffer and nearly doubles the productivity of learners. We wanted to make an impact on people with the limited coding knowledge we had, so we created StudySnip
What it does
Study Snippets cuts the video/audio time of a lecture and uses Python algorithms to do so, then compiles the “snippets” into a single video, taking out the fluff and leaving you with the information you need
How we built it
We built this using HTML, CSS, and Python. We also used Visual Studios as our IDE.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were trying to port Python in HTML, making the AI and training the machine learning algorithm, and putting the website up for all to see.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the website we built, and the algorithm behind it. We are also proud of the impact and depth we will make across the world.
What we learned
We learned how to get a domain and repo using GitHub, front-end and back-end development, and so much more. We hope to learn more in the future.
What's next for Study Snippets
We will likely make this into a full mobile app using Figma and an app builder, add chat features such as discord or chatrooms, and so much more.
