Inspiration

Students want to collaborate! We enjoy studying with others learning from our peers. However, because of our busy schedules, it is often difficult to set up a time to study together. The obvious solution is to build an application to allow for asynchronous studying while still keeping an aspect of collaboration. There is not application for proper asynchronous collaboration for students for studying for an exam like ours.

What it does

Our application allows students to share notes with other students, ask questions, and create a group flashcard deck to review together.

How we built it

We used React.jsx for frontend, with a Java and Postgresql backend.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating frontend and backend was a bit difficult. We also had some trouble determining how to handle uploading files.

The frontend and backend are built. The integration between frontend and backend, not so much

What's next for StudyCircle

We hope to add a feature that lets the people in a study group plan for exams.
