Inspiration
When we were taking CS146 and CS147, there was a really difficult project due, and we had no idea what to do because it was just so hard! Instead of texting your classmates randomly and ask them if they can send you that project. Use our app to help you study better!
What it does
When you find a table in a library or anywhere else, you create a table event using our app. You will mention which class the table is doing, which instructor, how many people in your study group, and most importantly where the table is. After that, when other people are looking for the same class as you, you can join the table! After joining the table, you can see the direction that guides you from your location to the table! You find the table and then enjoy your studying.
How we built it
We use React for our front-end user-interface, Javascript to handle Google APIs. For the Apis, we mainly use Goole Map API.
Challenges we ran into
Not many people in our team know javascript, and some of the Google API does not have source codes for all kinds of languages. Hence, we spent some time reading documentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We eventually had a really good looking UI :) We successfully implemented the Google APIs.
What we learned
We learned how to build a project within such a short period.
What's next for StudyPool
Next, we can deploy it into production and complete the features to meet our final goal - happy studying together!
