Inspiration
Nowadays, SocialFi is trendy, but it's primarily focused on finance rather than social interaction. But a SocialFi needs interaction between users, not only financial incentives. We integrated user behaviors with real-life actions to solve this problem. Thus, we aim to create non-economic motives of continuous enjoyment and utility. By doing so, we will onboard more users into DeFi and Web3 by building easy-to-use and socially interactive services.
What it does
SuperSquad offers the simplest version of SocialFi, based on private social group deposits and DeFi yield boosting. Users can create private groups with their friends, charge deposit and prove their actions every day. It's straightforward and intuitive. Users can enjoy SuperSquad without needing to understand blockchain intricacies. Behind the scenes, it boosts yield, through Osmosis ATOM-OMSO pool, but all users need to know is that crypto adds extra yields to their rewards. All they have to do is deposit, invite friends, complete missions, and receive payments. This way, they become part of OSMO ecosystem. Thus, SuperSquad serves as an accessible entry point into the DeFi and SocialFi space.
How we built it
We have designed a system for participants in our challenge, called the "Parallel Group Deposit," where the prize pool in the deposit is distributed differentially based on the success rates of the participants. Additionally, we have liquified this deposit through Osmosis ATOM-OSMO pool to distribute additional yields. Furthermore, we have automated the entire process by recording all actions of the challenge participants on the blockchain. Through this, participants can experience DeFi by performing simple actions in their daily lives.
Challenges we ran into
We were new to the Non-EVM environment, so we encountered difficulties in connecting to the Testnet on the Cosmos network. Additionally, we used Comos.kit for wallet integration, which required some adaptation time due to its use of different CSS library compared to what we had previously used.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
During our short hackathon journey, we put a lot of thought into quickly defining problems and solutions and incorporating them into a prototype. We successfully implemented this approach. Furthermore, we concretized the mechanism of yield distribution based on participants' success ratios. Additionally, we gained an understanding of the interchain ecosystem, which was new to us. We successfully deployed CosmWasm contracts within the Osmosis development environment for the first time.
What we learned
We gained a deep understanding of the process by which transactions are generated within the Osmosis ecosystem. We were able to discern the differences, especially when compared to EVM chains. Additionally, through wallet integration in the Cosmos environment and various IBC-related documentation, We learned about interchain interactions.
