Inspiration
With so many people visually or technologically impaired, we wanted to give technology a voice and make it accessible for all, especially in today's world where technology is so prevalent.
What it does
Using the same AI technology as Chat GPT you are able to converse with the voice that speaks to you. You are able to pick the language, style of speaking, accent, and gender of the voice. For security, the app will ask if it have permission to access the apps and privacy on your phone. The app allows you to speak to your phone to open any app and privacy on your phone. You can use the app to access a search engine with your voice and it will give a baseline of what you are seeing, you can also ask the app to give more information in depth.
How we built it
We used Javascript and HTML for the code and we used Android Studios, Figma, and VScode to build an android app, a chrome extension, and a UX.
Challenges we ran into
We initially had a hard time figuring out where we should start our code. However, the biggest challenge of this project was implementing the OpenAI API. We had to debug a lot of code and sometimes even when there were no errors our applications would not function as intended.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were very proud of being able to stay up all night to finish the project and this project was a big challenge for all of us considering the lack of experience that we have.
What we learned
We learned that projects take a lot of time, dedication, and effort.
What's next for SuperHearo
