Switched On will be an interface that allows individuals, landlords, and tenants to work together to lower energy usage for mutual monetary benefits. We plan to utilize commonplace smartphone interactions to create an easily track-able and understandable energy use report, which, by creating a system where end of year rebates or similar monetary compensations are incentives on both ends to lower usage, helps to provide an interaction with energy consumption, an otherwise abstract concept.
