Synonym Bot

Inspiration

We all use social media and lot and though it would be funny if we replaced messages with funny synonyms.

What it does

It replies to any message it is tagged in with the same message replaced with funny synonyms.

How we built it

We build it using python libraries such as praw and pythesaurus.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble making the bot respond to each message only once instead of spamming each message.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are accomplished that we were able to create a working reddit bot that does the commands we tell it to.

What we learned

We learned that reddit bots have a lot more functionality than we originally thought and there is a lot we can do with it

What's next for Synonym Bot

We would like to program it to respond to certain commands like "say an inspirational quote".
