Tabulizer

Inspiration

We wanted to create a multidisciplinary project, combining technology and music. We came up with an app that would help aspiring students read guitar tablature and visualize the notes on a guitar as it plays.

What it does

Visualizes guitar tablature into an easy-to-read visual aid for students to learn correct hand placement.

How I built it

React Native with built in client side web scraping and parsing.

Challenges I ran into

• Learning react native and getting it running on everyone's system.
• Scraping and parsing the guitar tabs from websites

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

What I learned

React Native. A bunch of us were totally new to React as well so there was a lot to learn.
