Inspiration

Tardigrados Team was inspired by the lack of tools and support on the automatization of some repetitive tasks such as invoicements. We think that these types of tasks should be made by technology so people like us don't have to think much about it as we do nowadays.

What it does

Tardigrados project was made specifically for small business, still everyone can be a user of it. This project will simplify the invoicement process, making these steps more agile and faster for everyone. Since the project was focused on small business, it will also show the main economic information a bank account has. All of this is information taken from the cloud.

How we built it

This project was built using Android Studio which is programmed using Jetpack Compose through the Kotlin language. This project made use of certain APIs such as nessie, and a local API programmed in python.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge we ran into was the use of APIs from the Android Studio Application. This was because most of the documentation was not easy to understand, find or it was outadated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are totally proud of making an application using Android Studio since it is a new technology for us. We are also very proud of having a working API that collects a user data using the Nessie API since it was hard at the beggining, but once we understood how to work with it, it became our best friend. We do think this application will be needed by people with these needs.

What we learned

We learnt a lot of new things, some of them were the Android Studio usage, specifically into the API. We learnt the usage of a new API called "Nessie", and some of us learnt certain things we had never seen before such as creating an API from cero.

What's next for Tardigrados

Tardigrados developer team will continue learning the tools needed to overcome any challenge and circumstance to make sure the problems we had today won't happen again. We will become better developers and make sure our careers always align with our values.
