Inspiration

I was inspired by famous behavioral psychologist B.F Skinner, and Pavlov.

What it does

Operant Conditioning Inspired Design: Our quiz device operates on the principles of operant conditioning, a cornerstone of behavioral psychology. Correct answers trigger a positive reinforcement, represented by the device landing on green, while incorrect answers result in a punishment, indicated by the device landing on red. This approach encourages learning through positive reinforcement and discourages incorrect responses through negative feedback.

Harnessing Color Psychology: The device utilizes the psychological impact of colors to convey information effectively. Green, associated with correctness and positivity, signifies a correct answer, while red, symbolizing error and danger, indicates an incorrect response. By leveraging color psychology, we enhance user engagement and facilitate intuitive understanding of quiz outcomes.

Engaging Cognitive Processes: Flickering between red and green and the subsequent landing on a color engage users' cognitive processes, including attention, perception, and decision-making. This interactive process taps into cognitive psychology principles, fostering active participation and stimulating mental engagement.

Seamless Voice Activation: Our quiz device features intuitive voice activation, enabling users to interact effortlessly. This voice-activated interface leverages language processing and human-computer interaction principles, providing a seamless and natural user experience.

Data modeling: Our quiz device also allows for users to view performance overtime.

How we built it

We used python and Arduino.

Challenges we ran into

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the voice activation and speech feature.

What we learned

I learned how to incorporate data modeling, Behavorial science, voice activation and robotics in one project.

What's next for Taserquiz

We would want to give the user the option to compare performances with other users, and we would want want to port our database to the cloud.
