Inspiration

From lack on incentives for recycling coffee cups to uncertainty about what to recycle and where, we built a comprehensive solution to bring clarity and ease user's recycling process, especially tackling purchasing behaviors. We aimed for a solution that incentivizes the user to build a sustainable and long-lasting habit while prioritizing accessibility and not burdening the user's time.

How we built it

Following the Double-Diamond framework, we analysed the brief and focused on narrowing down an

Challenges we ran into

At some point, we focused on solution rather than defining the problem. This was quickly resolved by reminding ourselves of the double diamond process. At times some of us did not understand the purpose of something in the process so we constantly held discussions about the industry and our role as product designers while building our concept and prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

During the process, we bonded very well and managed to work together even with slight misunderstandings along the way. We were able to communicate well, coordinate our team work and we're very proud that everyone stayed engaged and did their part during these intense 24h. We were also able to play on each other's strengths.

What we learned

We learned to optimize our working phase to meet different knowledge levels in UX. We were also able to exchange ideas, knowledge and help each other understand more about the Design Process.

What's next for Team 28

We hope to collaborate more in the future and meet as friends and exchange UX design ideas!
