Inspiration
We thought the Arduinos were interesting and I enjoyed the tangible aspect of them.
What it does
It can measure the temperature and humidity and change a variable depending on the range they fall within. There is also some button feedback, web server, and communication between devices functionality but we couldn't get a certain aspect to work that would bring the components together. There are a lot of comments detailing how we would've gone about implementing a certain MVP requirement given we had a missing prerequisite component.
How we built it
Blood, sweat, and tears or basically a lot of googling and looking at Arduino ESP8622 example libraries.
Challenges we ran into
We could not figure out how to GET or POST data to the Arduino based webserver that would then be distributed across all of the devices
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We got every Arduino to give some sort of proper feedback.
What we learned
How to use the Arduino IDE and code some basic and medium difficulty functionality for Arduinos.
What's next for Team !smart's Distributed Self-Adaptive Systems Submission
Maybe we will be back in the fall?
