Inspiration

The tech industry has made progress toward gender equality, but women still face barriers like skill gaps, biased hiring practices, and limited access to mentorship. Inspired by these challenges, we set out to build TechTrail, a platform that empowers women with AI-driven tools to navigate their careers confidently.

What it does

TechTrail is an AI-powered platform designed specifically to address key career challenges faced by women in tech:

  • Career Roadmaps: Personalized career plans tailored to individual goals.
  • Skill Gap Analyzer: Identifies skill gaps and provides actionable suggestions.
  • Interview Preparation Hub: Generates role-specific interview questions for better preparation.
  • Favorable Companies Finder: Highlights women-friendly companies based on job roles.
  • Resource Center: Provides curated learning materials, courses, and guidance.

How we built it

The platform was built using:

  • Backend: Flask for routing and backend functionality.
  • Frontend: Bootstrap for responsive UI and consistent design.
  • AI Integration: Google Gemini API for AI-driven content generation.
  • Markdown Support: Ensured content clarity and formatting with marked.js.

We focused on seamless user experience, clean design, and actionable AI-generated insights.

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing an intuitive UI that balances simplicity and functionality.
  • Ensuring the AI-generated markdown content was beautifully formatted on the frontend.
