Inspiration
Telemedicine which is basically online medicine. Our idea is similar to that because the surveyed vitals can be monitored from afar.
What it does
It allows users to simulate the life of an astronaut by logging their vitals. It's similar to telemedicine, where scientists or doctors on "earth" would be able to monitor said vitals and tell the astronaut what steps to take moving forward to stay healthy. Our application can teach users the thresholds and boundaries of certain aspects of health and how to prevent these negative effects from happening.
How we built it
We used html, css, and javascript to make our webpage.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how to visualize the data over time (logistics).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of how interactive our webpage is and that it is visually pleasing.
What we learned
We learned how to visualize data on webpages with the chart.js library.
What's next for Telenaut
We would implement sensors (hardware) to measure bone density, heart rate, and muscle mass. Additionally, we would include more health metrics like immune system effects or psychological/mental heath disorders. Furthermore, we could ask for data from space agencies like NASA or SpaceX so that we could get real astronaut data. Finally, we could expand to 3D simulations or VR for more immersive experiences.
