Inspiration
We were inspired by HackUTD's fantastical theme this year as well as the judging dashboards we use for TAMUhack to create a stylish yet clean dashboard for all your potion-delivering needs!
What it does
The Brew Report presents you with everything you need to monitor potion deliveries across the realm. It visualizes cauldron levels, tracks discrepancies, and provides an overview of your brewing stations—all in one place, and live!
How we built it
We used React and Vite for the frontend and Flask for the backend, along with TailwindCSS/Recharts for the styling.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was definitely perfecting the discrepancy detection algorithm—making sure it correctly flagged outliers and handled edge cases took hours of debugging and late-night problem solving. We also had to ensure smooth communication between Flask and the frontend without breaking the live updates.
