Inspiration
Our inspiration was a variety of card games like Balatro and Spit. We were feeling adventurous and wanted to implement player movement into the game.
What it does
The game essentially plays like a 2 person versus simulator except with an interactive controller that's shaped like a very thick card. You perform certain actions that are mirrored in game.
How we built it
We built the game on Godot. Our version control was done through Github. We used the Ra=s
Challenges we ran into
Converting serial data to python data which would be sent to Godot by UDP. Animation / Godot Problems Github merge conflicts and Godot dependencies issues Hardware driver implementations
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of making a game that tries to meld hardware and software together to get a fun creative experience.
What we learned
Interfacing with godot Learning about hardware drivers and modeling Learning the pipeline from hardware to software
What's next for The Final Draw
Fully interfacing hardware and software Cleaning up visuals and animations Polishing enemy AI
