Inspiration

Playing Secret Santa with friends brought us so much joy that we wanted to create a website to connect entire communities.

What it does

People can play Secret Santa with strangers, volunteer for events, and compete on leaderboards to foster engagement and festive spirit on our website.

How we built it

We designed the interface in Figma and developed the platform using HTML, CSS, and also Python Flask to create an awesome and user-friendly website.

Challenges we ran into

Developing our vision from design to code in a few days was quite a challenge, but we managed to figure it out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created an interactive, community-driven platform that makes giving and connecting during Christmas both fun and meaningful.

What we learned

We learned the importance of Design and User Experience on top of functionality in programming.

What's next for The JoyVerse

Perhaps creating cookout meals for communities to come over, share meals and recipes to bond with each other.
