The quote proves that life can imitate art even when it’s not recognized, art is everywhere you look, in places you never thought to look. Theater is represented in any imaginable way . In this modern era of web , where everything is in your hand and you didn't even need to move an inch to get something , that must apply to theatre programs as well now. We bring you by our innovaton , our web application "Theatrify". On our website, you can have access to various and unique dramas that diffrent theatres across the world have to offer for you. On "Theatrify", get the world latest and unique dramas and famous theatres of the world at your place.

💻 What it does

Our web app Theatrify is built with features:

For Audience

  • Learn more about various theatres and their dramas to offer to the world.
  • Watch the dramas and book their shows , from wherever you are in the world .
  • View the schedule and shows theatres has to offer to you.
  • Learn from culture and get entertained by the best of the shows from the world.

For Theatre Performers and Groups

  • They can create a post for their upcoming shows so that audience can book tickets online.
  • They can also upload their recorded plays which users can access by spending some credits and stream on our application.

⚙️ How we built it

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS , Js and React.JS
  • Backend: Node.JS and Express.JS
  • Database: MongoDB and Mongoose

🧠 Challenges we ran into

  • Completing the project was a challenge because we had to implement the project by a deadline.
  • It was a bit difficult to implement the video and file uploads it took a while , but we figured it out .
  • Our designer was very busy in college work, so we had to work late at nights, but somehow we managed to complete sufficient designs and finish the frontend.

🏅 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We are proud of the fact that we were able to complete the project in the given time.
  • We are proud of the fact that we were able to create a Backend with a well planned MVC architecture and business model
  • One of our member was new to programming so he learnt how to use Github and using React.js in frontend.

📖 What we learned

  • We learnt how to stream a video from backend using node.js
  • It was the first time when we used Multer for storing images and video files.

🚀 What's next for THEATRIFY

  • Improving the Frontend of the application
  • Creating Reviews and Popularity Stats for Shows and Uploaded Videoes
