Purpose and Functionalities:
EcoMap is an innovative AI-driven application designed to empower users to predict and visualize temperature changes in urban environments through interactive modifications of key environmental layers. Our solution allows users to edit vegetation, population density, water bodies, and city borders to see how these changes can impact the local temperature. By providing this interactive platform, EcoMap aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental factors in urban planning and climate resilience.
Functionalities:
- Interactive Layer Editing: Users can modify vegetation, population density, water, and city border layers using intuitive brush tools, sliders, and color intensity controls.
- Real-time Temperature Prediction: The application employs a sophisticated Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to predict and display temperature changes based on the edited layers.

Team Members and Roles:
- Devin: Focused on developing the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm that predicts the temperature layer based on the input environmental layers.
- Arjun: Collaborated with Devin on the machine learning algorithm, ensuring accurate and efficient temperature predictions.
- Pranav: Worked on the front-end development, creating the user interface and integrating the interactive layer editing functionalities.
- Veer: Partnered with Pranav on the front-end development, focusing on user experience and the seamless integration of the AI algorithm into the application.
While each member brought their expertise to specific areas, our team worked collaboratively on all aspects of the project, ensuring a cohesive and robust solution. Together, we combined our diverse skills and perspectives to create EcoMap, an application that not only predicts temperature changes but also educates and inspires users to consider the environmental impacts of urban development.
