Inspiration
Event organizers spend a big chunk of expenses to promote their events. More values are retained by organizers when their initial cohort of ticket buyers turn into active promoters. The blockchain technology can get rid of the middle man and power a smooth running affiliate program in which individuals receive promotion rewards not only for direct referrals but also for any users that their referrals bring in.
What it does
Our ticketing platform has an affiliate program that rewards users not only for their direct referrals but also for any users their referrals bring in. The users would keep receiving rewards when the referral connection expands, but at a lower amount for indirect referrals further levels away.
How we built it
We built the front end using React and Boostrap for styling. We created the contracts using Solidity with Openzeppelin. The images are stored on Polybase while the contracts are deployed on MANTLE test network.
Challenges we ran into
One of the major challenges is to keep track of referral reward for a given users as their indirect referrals expand many level out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We create a strong financial incentives for users to become active promoters.
What we learned
We learned to use Polybase and Spheron.
