Inspiration

        We dread going to history class as we sit through boring lectures and have to complete textbook assignments. We decided to come up with a solution to teaching history in a fun, engaging way.

What it does

        We place users in a world that takes place at some point in history. These events can range from the first colony in the Americas to the Berlin Wall being destroyed.

How we built it

        We used unity to build the setting, characters, and dialogue. We also used graphic tools such as Canva to make the 2D aspects of the game.

Challenges we ran into

        This is our team's first hackathon and our brainstorming process took a while. We are also inexperienced with Unity, so we had to get over that learning curve.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

        We are proud of having a setting prototype completed.

What we learned

        We learned about creating a product, time management, conveying our ideas, and working together.

What's next for Time Trek

        We hope to expand our game into the VR world.
