Inspiration

Although many schedule managers exist, few are visually appealing to us. Feeling representative of a larger group, we decided to make a manager to meet our vision.

What it does

This webpage serves as a scheduler for an individual, giving them the ability to add events based on a starting time, ending time, and an event type, as well as a date. In addition, it has two inbuilt clocks- one an analog clock, and the other a digital clock.

How we built it

We built this using, of course, HTML, CSS, and JS, using vscode as our development environment of choice. We also used various online resources, such as w3schools, as references.

Challenges we ran into

Due to our total unfamiliarity with HTML/CSS/JS, we were completely in the dark about where to start and what to do. In addition, progress was at a snail's pace due to our needing to constantly research new content to implement, which could potentially lead to dead ends and even hours of wasted time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a finished product, which, although barebones, was evidence of our ability to utilize HTML/CSS/JS, having learned completely from scratch.

What we learned

We learned how to use the three aforementioned languages entirely, having minimal to no experience prior. In addition, we improved our cooperative skills, as well as our individual productivity.

What's next for TimeKeep Scheduler

Extension of scheduling functionality- Ability to attach details to events and sharing of events across clocks

Cleanup of code- de-spaghettification of our cobbled-together mass of text

UI streamlining- Cleanup of UI, with more custom inputs and improved spacing.
