Inspiration
Our inspiration was virtual assistants such as Siri and Amazon Echo, which helps people manage their time, schedule, and manage their todo list among many things.
What it does
our project is a web app that incorporated the Voiceflow API to make a virtual assistant that helps with productivity and time management among other things.
How we built it
We used Expressjs, Nodejs, p5js, HTML, CSS and the Voiceflow API to build our web app.
Challenges we ran into
We originally were going to use React but many of our members didn't know how to use React so we switched to Express midway through. It was also the first time we used the Voiceflow API so it was a bit confusing to use at first. Timezones were also an issue, as we had one member all the way in Hong Kong so we had to figure how to collaborate together!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned more about web development with tools such as Express and p5js, alongside learning how to use Voiceflow API. We also had a great time doing so and created many great memories, so we're proud of that as well! We're proud of our end product even if we didn't manage to make it very polished.
What we learned
We learned more about web development with tools such as Express and p5js, alongside learning how to use Voiceflow API. We also learned how to collaborate between timezones and learned more about one another which was an amazing experience!
What's next for TimeSimp
We could develop this further and make it into an actual web app that can run and work, helping people throughout the internet to manage their time well and organize their todos among other things!
