Tinder Hub - Team 19

Inspiration

We look an opportunity to develop a website that help to find people with the same interests than you and eliminate the frontiers. We help people to match and know the compatibility for a team.

What it does

Basically, the main goal is to integrate GitHub API which let GitHub users to match mathematically their teams and deploying a percentage accuracy of matching for every user. As well as a words cloud map. Therefore, to know a certain similar related topics.

How we built it

We used the GitHub API to extract data that we could use for Natural Language Processing and Vectors comparison. With this result, we got ratios and Words Clouds, that let us mathematically match people in order to make teams that could significantly succeed in a work environment.

Challenges we ran into

We want the best accuracy for our users, the most challenging part was clean the data and data processing, because GitHub API has a lot of information and the question is, what data we need to use to make a good match?

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Throughout the hackathon, as a team we faced several challenges but at the end, we ended up with solutions and of course, a set of knew adquired skills. Among of them, some natural lenguage processing, text mining and cleaning data.

What we learned

We learned pretty much about data mining. The techniques we applied to solve these problems, were pretty exhaustive, but once we got into the idea, we went deep. We also learned how to design a microservices architecture, reactive web apps, setup hosting, and domains configurations.

What's next for Tinder Hub is to bring together the world's largest developer community and take collaboration to the next level with compatible coworkers for better and higher job execution.
