Our team created HealthHub, an interactive website designed to raise awareness about physical and mental health while encouraging users to take an active role in their well-being. We joined this hackathon with the goal of gaining real-world experience that would help us in our future careers, and it quickly became a valuable journey of learning, teamwork, and creativity.

Throughout the project, our team discovered how thoughtful web design can keep users engaged and connected. We learned that adding interactive elements such as games, quizzes, and a health tracker makes information not only more enjoyable but also easier to remember. Together, we focused on designing an attractive layout with a friendly and accessible interface that encourages users to explore and learn more about their health. Our goal was to create a theme that feels both educational and welcoming, helping users stay interested while gaining useful insights into their well-being.

One of our favorite parts was designing a mini-game to keep users engaged. The game features a basket catching cute pixelated healthy foods, with three levels and a time limit for players to reach the target score and advance. It’s a fun way to promote healthy choices while encouraging users to stay connected to the site.

Of course, we faced challenges along the way. Translating our prototype design into actual CSS was tricky, some elements didn’t align perfectly, and we had to make small layout adjustments. The game’s logic also gave us trouble at first; the basket sometimes failed to detect the falling foods, the timer didn’t start properly, and the score didn’t update as planned. For the tracker, we weren’t sure how to scale the health score accurately, so we conducted research and experimented until we achieved a reasonable result.

In the end, we felt proud of what we accomplished. Despite the challenges, we built a functional, visually appealing website that truly reflects our vision. Most importantly, we learned that communication and collaboration are the keys to a successful project. This experience not only strengthened our technical skills but also taught us the importance of teamwork, problem-solving, and persistence.
