Inspiration
Our project was inspired by other social media platforms like TikTok. We know how big of an impact platforms like that can have on the success of small businesses. However, we felt that an universal platform like TikTok is too overcrowded, limiting the visibility these businesses can reach.
What it does
Our project is web based social media platform, specially built for small businesses to promote themselves and engage with their consumer base. Businesses can sign up for an account on the platform to create posts to reach out to new customers while strengthening their existing relations. Regular users and consumers can then interact with these posts by liking, commenting, and sharing.
How we built it
Our frontend website is built using HTML and CSS, while our backend was built using postgresql and express.
Challenges we ran into
Our initial vision for the project was overly ambitious. We were faced with too many features to implement in too little time.
